Lonzi & Bean Review - Maternity Clothing

09 March 2017

Hands up preggie ladies who battle to find trendy, comfortable well priced maternity clothes? Look no further I have found the place! Lonzi & Bean was founded a year ago by long time best friends when they were pregnant and discovered it was impossible to find maternity wear in South Africa that ticked all their boxes; ‘flattering, comfortable, practical and lasted more than a few months’. From this journey Lonzi (Ilona) & Bean (Claire) was birthed.

I am 32 weeks pregnant with number 3 and know the battle of finding quality maternity wear in South Africa. The mums around my area have a suitcase that is passed from one pregnant friend to another with maternity clothes in. Most of them are super worn and have come from a variety of stores normal clothes ranges just in larger sizes. So with this in mind (and in my cupboard at the moment!) I was super excited to have the chance and pleasure of receiving and wearing 3 of Lonzi & Bean’s items. The UltiMum dress, The MilkiMum Longsleeved Top and the MaxiMum Skirt; all of which are made with pregnant, post-natal bodies and breastfeeding in mind.

The UltiMum Dress R595

This dress is so versatile and perfect for any function. It can be dressed up or down with any event in mind. It shows off ones bump beautifully and has a discreet breastfeeding panel so the life of this dress will carry on past pregnancy. The coloured band at the bottom of the dress adds such flair; I love it! There are 10 colour combinations available as well as a short sleeve option so there is something for everyone.

The MilkiMum Top R395-R420

This long sleeved top is a firm favourite of mine, it has side gathering which gives your pregnant belly lots of room to grow and post-natal tummy some camouflage! It also has a discreet breastfeeding panel – which I thought may look odd once on but on the contrary it just adds to the style of the top. These come in a variety of colours and sleeveless options too.

The MaxiMum Skirt R495

Wow this is a skirt that every pre/preggie/post-natal woman needs! It is amazing; it’s made from 2.7m of fabric (watch that you get it all in when you climb into the car!) with a wide belly band that can be worn over or under ones bump. It is flattering and feminine without clinging to your bottom and hips. It comes in 3 colours; black, navy and charcoal.

These clothes make me feel so feminine and show off my beautiful belly to perfection. They are perfect for a lunch date with the girls or a night out; for any occasion at all. Lonzi & Bean clothes are definitely suitcase worthy but I won’t be sending mine on as they are so versatile and breastfeeding friendly – I have a feeling these items will be found in my wardrobe well into in the future.
All these products plus more can be bought on their website www.lonziandbean.com so go along and take a look, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
