Rue de Lapinou Review - Classic Children's Clothing

03 May 2017

I am sure there is a dummy eating cot monster that lives under little Miss L’s cot! I used to spend a couple of crucial minutes scrabbling to find the dummy while little Miss L wailed, and it drove me mad! Even the glow-in-the-dark dummies couldn’t be found. Then I read about Nookums Paci-Plushies that are available in SA at Kids Cargo – what a middle-of-the-night life saver!I often look at pics from when we were kids and long for those well-made clothes that are timeless. I am talking about the smocked dresses and washed denim outfits. Since having little Miss L I have had my eye out for an online shop that offers some of these ageless items. I have found Rue de Lapinou which means “street of baby rabbits”. It is an online store that has fabulous clothes that speak to my classical tastes. The name in itself conjures images of French flair and that is exactly what they are all about.

Rue de Lapinou has lovely ranges of clothes that would suit any occasion or just ‘cos. They cater for baby right through to five years. I am in love with their smocked rompers and dresses. Little Miss L was lucky enough to get one of their ditsy floral embroidered dresses and matching bloomers. For moms of girls out there, dresses can be so impractical for little crawlers as their knees get stuck and they get so frustrated. This lovely dress has a shorter hem line so it doesn’t get in the way – yay for that! Rue de Lapinou has great all-in-one rompers for boys and girls that have no poppers or buttons and just pull on. It is fabulous that they can be worn on their own in summer and with a long sleeve shirt under them for winter. They are perfect for crawling and walking and such an everyday essential.

All In One

I’m a sucker for anything personalised and Rue de Lapinou does a range of vests and shirts that you can have personalised with baby’s name on with a small embroidered motif! So darn cute and such a lovely personal baby shower gift <3

Rue de Lapinou has a beautiful website so do yourself a favour and head on over
